Wujal WujalWujul Wujul is Deed of Grant in Trust (DOGIT) land and covers 1,994 hectares of land on the north and south sides of the Bloomfield River. The main township area occupies the smaller DOGIT area (116 hectares) on the northern side of the river.Wujal Wujal has an estimated population of 470 (as of June 2001), with about 97 per cent of the total population being of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander origin. Facilities in the community include a community hall, sporting oval, medical clinic, primary school, and local store. There are also tours of the surrounding Bloomfield and Cape Tribulation area and accomodation in the form of a guest house.
